Dr. Prema Gopie is a local Sport Medicine Physician experienced in treating a variety of musculoskeletal illnesses. He completed his residency training at McMaster University in Family Medicine and following this pursued a Sport and Exercise Medicine Fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He also holds a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine as granted by the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine and is an active member of the national organization.

Dr. Gopie is actively involved in teaching musculoskeletal medicine to medical residents and students. He is also heavily involved in Uganda Sport Medicine, a longitudinal project introducing Sport and Exercise medicine to Uganda through teaching and clinical pursuits.

He spends the remainder of his clinical time as a Student Health Physician at the University of Toronto (UofT) and is the in house Sport Medicine Physician for the UofT Mississauga Campus varsity athletics program.

In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, playing and watching basketball, going to the gym, and cooking!
